The title says it all! I am just going to reveal the place that offers the most tempting cheese sandwiches, stews and more. It is nowhere but in a regular cobbled street of the Jewish Quarter of Budapest. I am talking about ‘Bors Gasztrobár’, a small cosy cafe serving street food.
We accidentally discovered it on a Sunday afternoon when Rohan and I were both hungry and looking for some place to eat. Firstly, I was very confused in ordering but the guys there were extremely helpful and explained well the ingredients of everything. Being a vegetarian I opted for the one with spicy tomato sauce and five kinds of cheeses and it was insane. When I took the first bite, I knew it going to be the best food memory I will take back from Budapest specially because I hardly found good vegetarian food during my stay.
The baguette was perfectly crunchy on the outside, wrapped safely in a paper bag; with soft melting cheese layers inside. Just writing this post is making me hungry.
If you be in Budapest, there is no way you should miss this and its pretty close to Szimpla Kert, which is another of my favourite places in the city. Coming more on that soon.
