Tropical smoothies are the best way to refreshing any summer morning. I recently tried this smoothie recipe from ‘The Blender Girl’, using pineapple as the base and it turned out amazing. It’s sweet, tangy and of course very healthy. So, try it and tell me how it went.
1 cup coconut water
2.5 cup Pineapple, sliced and deseeded
1 cup fresh baby spinach leaves
Lemon juice (as much tangy as you want)
Pinch of black salt or sea salt
A tiny slice of red onion (1.5 teaspoon finely chopped)
2 tablespoons chopped cucumber
Few sprigs of cilantro
1 teaspoon finely chopped jalapeno chile (I skipped and used some drops of tabasco sauce)
Some ice cubes
Pinch of freshly grated lime zest
Natural sweetener if you like it very sweet. I did not use at all as the pineapple was dripping ample of it.
It is a smoothie folks! Blend everything and enjoy! No fuss involved…
