This weekend was mostly about lounging at home; all thanks to the consistent stubborn rain. But this gave me a chance to watch movies, read, be lazy with my love, cook some amazing meals and most importantly have my favourite hot chocolate; while also sharing the recipe with you guys.
When I say it is the best hot chocolate in the world then I mean it! Perfectly sweet, tinge of salty and spicy, this one will make you crave for more. Without wasting your time, here’s the super easy recipe:
For 2 cups
2 cups milk
2 Anise stars
2 Green Cardamom Pods
1 Cinnamon stick
Pinch of Cayenne Powder
Pinch of Sea Salt
1 tsp Rose Peppercorns, loosely crushed
4 tsp Dark Organic Cacao or and hot chocolate powder which you use normally
Heat milk in a pot with cardamom, cinnamon and anise on simmer till it nearly boils. The idea is to infuse as much flavour as possible.
In each cup add 2 tsp cacao powder, pinch of red cayenne and sea salt and mix.
Now sieve and pour the hot milk in both the cups and mix well till the powder dissolves well. Sprinkle the crushed rose peppercorns and enjoy.
